Historic buildings in stunning grounds
Both of our buildings are Grade II listed. Whether you come to live in the historic Georgian Plas Cwmcynfelin Mansion itself, with its specially adapted rooms, or the adjacent Coach House with its purpose built annexe with en suite bedrooms, you will enjoy comfortable furnishings in tastefully decorated rooms that are sensitive to the buildings' heritage.
The Main House has 28 rooms, comprising:
1 single with en suite toilet and wetroom
4 single with en suite toilet and washing facilities
20 single with wash basin
3 twin with wash basin
The Coach House has 21 rooms, comprising:
8 single with en suite toilet and wetroom
12 single with wash basin
1 twin with wash basin
Both buildings benefit from our fully accessible, extensive landscaped gardens, and the majority of the rooms enjoy views either over the gardens, or surrounding countryside.
All floors of both buildings are accessible via lift.
Person-Centred Care Tailored to You
We ensure that you are listened to and have a real input into the care you receive. You will be treated as an individual and take the lead in how we deliver our service to you. We will consult you regularly on how you wish to be cared for, or if you have difficulty in making decisions for yourself, we will consult with those whom you have appointed as your respresentatives who will advocate in your best interests.

Fully trained and qualified staff, 24 hours a day
Our nurses are fully trained and registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, updating their skills and revalidating their qualifications in compliance with legal requirements. Our team of Nursing Care Assistants are also fully registered with Social Care Wales, maintain a profile of Continuing Professional Development, and have either achieved, or are working towards, their Diploma in Health and Social Care at Level 2 or above. All staff are commited to providing you with sensitive, dignified care.
Family-Run Atmosphere
Founded and run by the Price family in 1988, we pride ourselves on creating a homely, welcoming, but professional atmosphere. A real home-from-home!
We take the worry out of daily life
We provide those extras that make life easier for you. Each house has its own laundry that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Both houses have their own dedicated kitchen, preparing delicious meals every day.
Need your hair done? Don't worry - our hairdresser calls fortnightly and offers a range of services from a simple trim to dying and perming.
Need attention from a foot-care specialist? We have a visiting foot-care specialist who is fully qualified to deal with a number of problems that may arise.
Need help to get moving again? A local reablement specialist works closely with us to help strengthen you and improve your strength and mobility where possible.
Need medical attention? No problem. Our nurses make sure that everyone is registered with a local GP surgery (or remains registered with their own surgery if already local), and will contact them for a house visit if necessary. Our nurses will also make referrals to other specialist health and social care services when needed.
