Services

We aim to support our service users to live the life that they choose by consulting with them on their wishes and choices, gathering information that they wish to share regarding their life histories and drawing up a package of care that will support them to live as fulfilling a life as possible, incorporating balanced risk whilst safeguarding them from harm, neglect and abuse.

Daily Life

We aim to help individuals live the life they choose by involving them in decisions about their care and respecting their personal history, preferences, and independence. Care plans are tailored to support a fulfilling life while balancing risk and ensuring safety from harm, neglect, and abuse.

We provide support with mobility (including use of specialist equipment), personal care (washing, dressing, and daily routines), and continence management. Staff maintain dignity, encourage independence where possible, and are trained in safe practices.

Nutritional and hydration needs are carefully managed, with attention to dietary requirements and support for those who need help eating. Health monitoring and referrals to specialists are made when needed.

Additional support includes assistance for sensory impairments (hearing and vision), access to healthcare services, and rehabilitation programs for those recovering from illness or injury or experiencing reduced mobility.

Activities

We recognise that wellbeing goes beyond physical health and includes social, intellectual, cultural, and religious needs. We aim to provide a welcoming, homely environment where service users can enjoy hobbies, attend social groups, and take part in activities shaped by their feedback.

We are keen to support individuals to maintain connections with their community and sustain relationships with family and friends. A variety of activities are offered, including tailored options for those with limited mobility.

We also encourage community engagement through trips and local links, and actively encourage our service users to be involved in improving our service by gathering regular feedback. We respect cultural needs, including supporting and promoting the Welsh language.

Nursing Care

Our care team is trained to recognise and meet service users’ nursing needs, with staff registered with Social Care Wales and nurses maintaining professional standards through the NMC.

They provide a range of clinical care, including pressure sore prevention, medication management (including PEG and injections), wound care, and regular health monitoring.

Staff are trained to identify health changes, report concerns, and make referrals to appropriate healthcare professionals. Nurses also carry out specialist tasks such as phlebotomy, while liaising with external healthcare professionals to ensure effective care.

Specific Conditions

We provide support for individuals with dementia and cognitive impairments using personalised care based on life history, though we cannot accommodate those needing a secure environment (e.g. prone to wandering). Staff are trained to manage behaviours sensitively.

They offer palliative and end-of-life care in collaboration with specialist teams, ensuring comfort and supporting both service users and their families.

Care is also provided for a range of complex health conditions, including renal failure, respiratory conditions, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and other degenerative illnesses. Staff are trained to manage these conditions, follow medical guidance, and seek specialist support or additional training when needed to ensure high-quality, individualised care.
